The College
With a quest and vision to promote quality education the founders, Late Dr. S. Hekha Mao and his wife Mrs. A. Kaisa established the college on 1st July, 1997.
The college started with a humble beginning on a rented building with six (6) rooms, located at Upper A.G. National Highway 29, Kohima. In the first year 164 students were admitted, 36 students were enrolled in P.U. Commerce and 128 in P.U. Arts stream.
The college was privileged to have Mr. A.K. Das, retired Vice-Principal of Kohima Science College as its first Principal. With an experience of more than 30 (thirty) years in the teaching profession, he nurtured the institution at its infancy with the motto ‘True Education’. He was assisted by Vice-Principal, Mrs. Achibeni Ezung, a lecturer in History Department and non-teaching staff comprising of a Peon, a house keeping staff, an office assistant, a librarian and a driver.
Today, the college continues to grow and strives to be one of the best institutes of Higher Education in the state.
